Dr. Carol Stevens
DVM
Dr. Carol Stevens, born and raised in Michigan, is a 2008 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Albion College. Growing up with a menagerie of four-legged creatures, her interests in the veterinary field started at an early age.
Dr. Carol Stevens’ 25 + years experience with animals include working at a zoo as a horse/pony caretaker, managing a large kennel facility, learning foundation skills as a veterinary assistant, and eventually becoming a veterinarian. During vet school, she traveled to Europe, visited 5 veterinary universities, and focused on global concepts in public health. After graduating, she decided to explore beyond Michigan winters and completed her internship at a Las Vegas Specialty Practice with a concentration in veterinary oncology. Since 2009, she has remained a general practitioner with licenses in Nevada, North Carolina, and Texas. Her interests include complimentary medicine, specifically Traditional Chinese Medicine food therapy and acupuncture. Dr. Carol Stevens has also served with the Habitat for Humanity Appalachian Service Project. She has trained for long distance & OC races and has participated in local philanthropic events. Dr. Carol Stevens furry family includes a feisty old lady cat, Rue, and an exuberant pup, Otter. She enjoys traveling and exploring central Texas.
Angus
Stress Prevention Manager
Angus came to East Lake Veterinary Center as a patient after an accident nearly claimed his life. His positive outlook contributed to a speedy recovery. Before long he was entertaining our feline guests in exchange for room and board. (He insists on earning his keep). Angus makes his rounds & purrs to help rid the staff of stress energy.
Angus officially serves as the Stress Prevention Manager at East Lake Veterinary Center. He regularly sneaks out the backyard where canine guests take their outside breaks. He inspects the grounds to ensure cleanliness is up to his feline standards. From time to time Angus lays on top of freshly folded towels. He claims he is just making sure everything is clean and fluffy. He only wants the best for our canine and feline guests. His special talents include staying calm, relaxing and finding joy in simple things. Oh what a life!
Mitch
Veterinary Technician
Mitchell was born and raised on the beautiful Island of Guam. He loves and supports the American bully breed, and shows them when he has time. His hobbies include playing softball and building aquariums. Mitch has two fur kids named Eevie and Grogu.
Hayley
Veterinary Technician
Hayley was born and raised in Michigan and was brought to Central Texas because of the military. Hayley has been a veterinary technician for a number of years. She has 4 kitties at home named Pablo, Pheniox, Diablo, and Felix.
Kola
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Kola is from Honolulu, Hawaii. She has a fur baby named Bella. She has been around a wide variety of animals. Kola plays softball in her free time.
Margie
Lead CSR
Margie grew up in Central Texas and has a love for all 4-legged animals. She has 3 dogs of her own, Persephone (pictured), Ziggy, and Misty Lou. When she isn't helping take care of your fur babies she enjoys being outdoors, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family.
Carlene
CSR
Carlene has always had a passion for taking care of others, and making sure that patients are receiving the best care. She has been a certified nursing assistant since 2013 and she spent 5 years taking care of oncology patients. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, painting and going to music festivals in her spare time.
